Going on holiday is a real joy for everyone. Especially for children, it is the perfect opportunity to make the most of it. The beach is the most demanded place, it is the ideal place to let off steam by jumping on the waves, playing ball and making sand castles. However, you must be careful and watch out because accidents can happen without expecting it.
Precautions to take
Parents must remain vigilant when they go on holiday with their children. Remember to protect your children from sunburn by avoiding the hottest times of the day (between 12 and 4 p.m.). Wear light clothing, preferably cotton. A shady area should be created, so bring a parasol. For more protection, ask the children to stay under the parasol or put on a hat. Buy sunglasses, for adults but also for children, as their eyes are fragile. A first-aid kit (containing disinfectant, bandages, scissors and cream) is essential to treat any small injuries. Children can make a sand castle in complete safety.
Possible activities on the beach
When we go on vacation, we don't stay in bed. You have to make programs, it's time for fun, so you have to enjoy it to the fullest. You can do different activities on the beach, such as running, dodge ball, swimming...Shovels and buckets are the small materials needed to build a sand castle. Some people put flags for more style for their castles. You can have fun on the waves with a bodybord or an inflatable mattress or just play kite flying. There are many activities on the beach. However, stay very vigilant! The beach is a fun place for children but they must be under the supervision of a responsible person at all times.
Food and drink
Holidays are fun times, but don't forget that it's important to stay hydrated and nourished. Bring plenty of water and fresh drinks, fruit and snacks. Prefer individual snacks and forget about small snacks that melt easily in the sun (e.g. chocolate). Hydration is very important, so bring bottle supplements. Heavy foods that can overload the stomach should be banned. Set rules because children can forget about snacks at these times.
